The View From The Top Of The Hill

We were coming from Dundonald on Sunday evening and driving over the hill towards home. When we came over the top of the hill this is the sight that awaited me.

Do you know that moment when your mouth falls open in awe of a wonderful sight? Well that is what happened to me. :)) So I just had to pull over in a lay-by and take the picture.

I couldn't decide which view I liked best so decided to put both up.  The 2nd shot is zoomed in a wee bit.

I hope you like the view as much as I did.

I was out photographing landscapes with a friend and we came upon a similar sight. My friend told me they were called Crepuscular rays! Learned a new word that day! I love them.

My mouth dropped open upon seeing your image just before I read that your mouth dropped open. And how lovely too that you were able to capture it so well - both shots are breathtaking.

Przez "dziurę" w chmurach ślicznie przedostają się promienie słoneczne. Bardzo ładne zdjęcia. Pozdrawiam. ***A "hole" in the clouds beautifully penetrate the sun's rays. Very nice pictures. Yours.

Really wonderful! One of those "right place, right time" photo opportunites that are so fleeting. Great job!
