Trying To Get Fit!!!!



I saw this on a branch of a tree and as in my usual non educated gardening type person I have no idea what it is.  
I did like the look of it so I took a picture. I love finding unusual things when I am out and about.
If anybody out there has any idea what it might be  please let me know!!!

Well, I have decided to try and get fit.  
I am TRYING to go out for more walks, however when you go out with a camera in hand your not exactly walking fast (at least I'm not).  
I'm looking for something to get my heart rate up a bit without killing me.
So I tried my Gillian Michael's 30 Day Shred dvd.  
Has anybody else tried this - OMG it's a killer!!! 

Don't worry I won't be putting any pictures up of me exercising - I'll spare you that lol.
I did take a few breaks - but it has just proved to me how truly unfit I really am.
So I am going to TRY and stick to it and I'm cutting down on calories too.
 I've done it before and I can do it again.

Shred is beyond a killer!!
Love it though. It really makes you feel like you've accomplished something when you are done.
I have separated my walks for just the reason you talk about here. There are the "no camera" walks just meant for fitness, and then there are the "camera walks." I actually walk more by doing it this way too.
Now if I could just find a way to run with my camera!

getting fit?? i haven't a clue!!

but good luck to you...i am on so many weight gaining medications, i have just given up!!

Oh, dunno what it is, but it's pretty!
I still think a good brisk walk every day is great exercise.

Gosh, Ellie, that plant looks like a hairy caterpillar turning into a winged horse... or is my imagination running away with me? It's even more impressive full screen!
Good for you going on a fitness regime and watching out for those calories! Good luck! We can do this - it's really about getting in the right frame of mind, isn't it?!
I always do a "get in shape" Spring routine too and take up my pole walking again and watch the sweet and fatty foods! I will make an exception for my birthday next week though!

I really need to do some kind of fitness thing...just don't seem to have the will power...maybe if you stick to it it will inspire me.

Good for you. I have been working on the same thing....so far about 2 weeks and counting. Pretty good so far....still very out of shape...but there is improvement! We can encourage each other not to give up. Although I don't have a daughter that bakes the beautiful and delicious cakes that your girl does!!!

Ellie - right there with you. the last time I went to an excercise class they thought they were going to have to call the paramedics. :)
