It's Friday :))

Well, I'm celebrating today because it is Friday (well who doesn't celebrate a Friday, right!) but I have the added bonus that at 6pm tonight I finish work and will be on holiday for 2 whole weeks.

To  say I am looking forward to it is an understatment :))
We have nothing planned but hope to have a few day trips and just to do what I want and when I want will be  bliss!!!

Friday also means something else - it's Green Day at Raindrops and Daisies, my picture above is my contribution to it today.
You should pop over to see all the other green loveliness that will be there and Fiona has a great blog too!!

Now, on a completely separate note, you know when you see someone being interviewed on the telly and they say something that really makes you think?  Well I was watching the olympics this morning (as usual) and the Scottish female rower Katherine Grainger was on.
She has achieved silver three times at previous Olympics and is obviously hoping for a gold this year.  She made a statement which struck a cord with me.
She said "People are capable of so much more than they will ever know"

I thought this was a wonderful thing to believe in - in every aspect of life - I'm going to make a note of this and try and remember it!!!

I am going to be routing for her and hope she does really well and achieves her gold medal!!!

Phew all of this before I've even finished my breakfast this morning, lol.

Have a wonderful Friday everyone.:)))

Hello Ellie!
What an inspiring quote, it's great to always think positively, it helps stay focused.
I'm so happy to hear you're going to relax for two whole weeks! Have fun!
And nice picture by the way!
I am just watching the medal ceremony for the rowing - Katherine Grainger recieving her gold medal. Well done, she is really quite inspirational, isn't she?
I'm quite proud of our New Zealand rowers too, though :)
