Saturday Morning

I was a wee bit bored the other day so I took my camera and went down to the beach.  It was a bit of a grey day and not much happening.
This is a stairway up onto the beach - I think I have photographed it before - but I do like it.

This shot is from the  top and on my way down to the beach.
I love the rusticness (is that a word?) of it  All of that wood, sand and seagrass - lovely!!!

Yesterday Dan and I took a trip to Largs which is about 3/4 hour away from us.  It is a right wee seaside town (a bit like our town).
We went for a lovely coffee and scone - very tasty!!!
I had taken my camera in the hope I would see something different to take some pictures of.  But it was such a dreich day (grey and drizzly rain) and the light was quite poor - so believe it or not I got NO pictures!!!

Last night I went out with my friend for dinner. We had a really lovely meal and a couple of glasses of wine. I really enjoyed it.  We often say we must do this more often but we don't.

Anyway today is a bit brighter and hopefully the rain will stay off so I'm going for a nice walk this afternoon (with my camera).

Hope everybody has a lovely weekend.

You have a lovely weekend too. I love the rustic-ness of your pictures too...the stairs, the sea grass....the mystery that awaits atop the staircase! Have a nice walk today!

I love the photos - I'm not sure if rusticness IS a word (rusticity?) but it works for me! And I never heard of a dreich day, but I'm going to remember that. Is is Welsh? Anyway, we're having a dreich day here, too!!

Oh what a beautiful stairway that is! The colour, the texture...I love everything about these two photos! (and if rusticness wasn't a word it is now!)

I love this stairway, Ellie, especially the second photograph of it. The way the grasses just sort of fall on it is really beautiful.
Sending you wishes for a wonderful weekend!

I'm missing my camera with faulty connection. Nice shots you took. Catching up with friends is important but we don't probably take time out enough. We all get busy with our lives.

Beautiful! I especially love that first photo - it would be beautiful framed on a wall.
gasp! Oh Ellie!! That last photo is just scrumptious! I have all those colors in my stash. They are my favorites. : )) What if I want this one too? Ellie, the grasses are just so fun to stitch! it's perfect! : )

Largs is just the image of seaside town to me with those beach entertainments, especially when you accompany it with an ice cream from Nardini's. Big dollop of history too - I once enjoyed a good day at the Viking place there with the kids years ago.

Good step pictures :)
