Good News, Bad News

Well, I have good news and not so good news.

The good news is - The Car Is Working - yay!!!

The not so good news - we didn't get away this week to Loch Ness.
I am quite disappointed but we felt that since the car had so much work done on it, it might be a tad unwise to take it away for a fairly long journey.

But, Danny said if it is still running ok by next weekend we may go away then :))

So I'm afraid I've got no Nessie pictures to show you this week - sorry!!!

On a totally different note,  I thought you might like to see the bowl that Danny made at his woodwork class.
I have to say I am very impressed - this is his very first attempt at it.

Not bad eh!!!
Isn't it lovely - and I love that grain.
He is a clever lad that hubby of mine :))

great work! congrats to the hubby. and yay! for the car working. I'm your new follower ;) xxo
Great bowl he is indeed a natural wood turner:)
Glad your car is fixed. B
There's something quite delightful about turned wood. Often at arty things in Kirkcudbright they have somebody with a lathe doing it there and then and it make rather zen viewing - much like a potters wheel. It's one of these things I'll get round to eventually - perhaps even in this lifetime.
Pretty good looking bowl - I'd be delighted with it.

How very nice the bowl is! My husband once worked with a man who made lovely wooden bowls and I was the lucky recipient of one for Christmas one year!
Enjoy the remainder of the weekend.

Sorry you didn't get away Ellie
but there is always a next time.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend

The bowl is beautiful - a true work of art! I have a wooden bowl on my coffee table in the living room and it is so lovely! A piece of nature right in my home. Tell your hubby, "Tracy from Michigan in the US loves the bowl!!"

What a beautiful bowl your husband has made! I especially like the first shot where you can see the pretty grain in the light coloured wood.
I'm sure that Nessie can wait for your visit - after all, she's been teasing people with her sightings for many many years! Have a great Sunday!
The woodwork is impressive. I doubt that you would have seen Nessie.

Greetings,
Filip

I am happy that the car is fixed!! I hope you get to go to Loch Ness next weekend. I have wanted to see a picture of Nessie. The bowl that Danny made is very lovely. I love anything that is made out of wood.

It's beautiful Ellie -- now you just need 3 more salad bowls and a big bowl to put the salad in (and maybe a large fork and spoon?) :)

This is really an amazing bowl Ellie! Can hardly believe your husband just made this. Wow! Impressed... Thanks also for stopping by my blog. I had not been blogging too much recently after my neice died. Sort of got out of the mood for awhile, and am really just getting back again. Nice to see you, and I will be looking forward to those Loch Ness photos. Are you hoping to see nessie? Do your photos in the fog, and that will probably help. LOL Hugs from Texas
