Pink Grapefruit

I have been so good on my new health kick (diet)!!  Have been losing a steady 1 or 2 pounds every week - until today!!!

I PUT A POUND ON
-  how annoying is that.

Never mind I'll just keep trying. It is just a blip on the scale :))

I tried a pink grapefruit for the first time the other day.
After a couple of slices and had managed to get my jaw back in place (very, very tart) I actually quite enjoyed it.

Meanwhile, Emma is busy making this for her lunch. A bacon roll. It did smell delicious. I think I may have drooled a wee bit lol.

Tonight I made a really tasty meal - Soy Beef Stir Fry with noodles.
I was going to take a picture of the finished product - BUT I FORGOT!!!  Aargh what is wrong with me.

Next time I make it I will take the photograph and print the recipe - I promise!!!

I think I can smell the bacon :-) Great photos as usual and 1 pound is no big deal , you will loose that quick enough.

I love pink grapefruit. It's usually so much sweeter than the regular. Sorry yours was so tart!

You're doing great, Ellie! Keep it up! Have you ever looked at skinnytaste.com? She's got some wonderful recipes.

Good luck with your diet Ellie! Losing a few pounds can make you have so much more energy, but takes alot of committment.

Ellie, your scales are definitely wonky to show some weight gain - get rid of them at once!!! Well done for the success on your diet! I'm excellent at losing 10lbs, but they keep finding me again! That pink grapefruit is a lovely colour, but it does look a bit tart... Brrrr!

Oh my goodness, Ellie. Here you are being as virtuous as a saint, and here I am getting ready to tell you about the HUGE peanut butter cookie I ate this morning.

I applaud your character; but you can keep the pink grapefruit. :)

Those darn scales were probably just trying to keep you from getting the big head after losing some weight. :)
I love grapefruit, especially Texas Ruby Red, which I used to eat when I lived in Texas. The produce up here leaves a lot to be desired. The grapefruit we have here is very tart. The stir fry sounds yummy!
It sounds like you are doing really well on your healthy eating. Keep it going!

Step away from the bacon!! Aww, really Ellie, what's a pound or two. Just keep up with your exercise routine...and step away from the scale! I threw mine right out of the house. As long as I watch what I eat, and exercise, I'm not worried about my weight, Anyway, muscle weighs more than fat, so maybe that pound is muscle!

Oh I love pink grapefruit...try running it under the broiler with a sprinkle of brown sugar...you could even try the half sugar/half splenda brown splenda stuff.
I love your apples, wish I could grow some!
Hugs~

You probably forgot to take the picture because you are so hungry! I had been doing really well too....but for the past few days....I sort of want to eat everything in site. I am hoping that it is just a hormone thing and will pass soon....because I kind of feel like I can't control myself. If I would have been at your house, I would have stolen that bacon roll!

Pink grapefruit is delicious...did you try salt on it? Believe it or not, salt adds to their taste! But probably not as healthy so maybe you shouldn't try it.
pink grapefruit!! yum!
bacon biscuit...yummy too...would be hard to resist.

stir fries are kinda fun to cook...you can put just about anything in there and it always comes out great!
