Autumn Colours

I realised that I haven't put a post up since Monday. How remiss of me!!!
I will need to get better at this.
You know one of my resolutions at New Year was that I was going to post regularly, I think I even put that down in a post  - the trouble with that (which I didn't think about at the time) is that life  is just down right boring sometimes.
I just don''t have any interesting news to share.

However later on this month I have a fair amount happening. First there is a joint 21st and 60th birthday party - it's a father -daughter doo, I also have a couple of training days for work.
Best of all we are having a week's holiday at the end of the month to coincide with out 24th wedding anniversary.
We are hoping to go to Loch Ness :)) - if the car is fixed :(
Keep your fingers crossed for me :))

I was also wondering what pictures to put up today.  So I took a wee wander around the garden and picked up some leaves that were lying around, I also have about 8 apples from my very own apple tree and a large crop of blueberries (thanks to Karen for buying another bush which is heavily laden with fruit.

I decided that I loved the beautiful autumn colours, it seemed right for the time of year, and took some pictures.
I took LOTS of pictures and struggled to decide what to put up - these were my two favourites.
I hope you like them too :))

Loch Ness huh?! Sounds way fun, I hope you can go!
The colors in that first photo are glorious! Autumn is by far my favorite season - so dramatic! The weather, the colors, the food, the sounds, ....plus I love my sweaters!!
Oh I love the photos Ellie and I am excited about all the celebrations to come:) B
If you do get a chance to go to Loch Ness, try your best to have a night out at one of the shoreline restaurants. Sampling the delights of the country from inside the warmth of the establishment overlooking the loch is simply fabulous. Take your camera - the shots will be breathtaking :-)

Such gorgeous colour! I really love that first shot. Hope you end up going to Loch Ness...that's somewhere I'd really love to visit one day (along with the rest of Scotland ;D) I have a friend who lives not too far from there!

Beautiful shots....Hope your car is fixed by the time your get your week's vacation...I have got to tell you since you can sympathize with me...remember we had to put new battery in truck the other day...I think I told that it was over $100...which probably don't mean a lot to you cause I sure don't know my how that comes out in your type of currency..but yesterday was time to take our Rav4 in for brake pads on front, and while it was in the shop, they changed the air filter, plus another filter and worked on a rattle in the dash...to the tune of $448! All except the rattle were things that just need to be done routinely. We are trying to head south sometime before the month is out so it should be good to go.

I love the colours, the addition of leaves and the contrast of the sizes of the berries and apples in the first photo. The second composition is lovely on white.
